Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time
Collaborative Seasons
A Cup of Tea and a Lie Down with Alan Brough.
This short-run season appeared at the famed Prince Patrick Hotel
in Melbourne in 1998 and featured Sue-Ann and Alan’s tips on the art of
relaxation and living the good life. The highlight of the season (for
some) was seeing Sue-Ann and a host of her friends appear on stage
wearing only their underpants. You have been warned.
World Championship Morgan with Anthony Morgan and Greg Fleet.
World Championship Morgan ran from 1993 to 1995 and was the only
comedy show (to admit to) featuring an alcoholic, a junkie and a
lesbian. The show developed a loyal following by living up to the
promise of all new material, every night. Sue-Ann made it her aim to
research and destroy a new religion each week (she almost accidentally
converted to Scientology in the process).
Toothless Conniving Bitches with the late, great Lynda Gibson.
This smash hit show featured a sell out season at the Adelaide
Fringe Festival. Sue-Ann and Lynda produced frenetic, no-holds-barred
comedy featuring the patented “Groan-o-meter”, Lynda’s unnatural
attraction to ABC weatherman Edwin Maher and way too much undie-flashing.
Lynda’s death was a huge loss to the comedy community, we will not see
her like again.
