Corporate Speaking

Sue-Ann Post regularly speaks on a wide range of topics to diverse groups of people. She has spoken variously to audiences of primary school children, trauma and torture counsellors, incest survivors and elderly outpatients and has been able to provide appropriate, funny and thought-provoking entertainment in each case. Some of her previous speaking clients include the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, the National Conference on Child Sexual Assault, the University of Utah, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Department of Education and Training.

• Diversity Training – as Australia’s only six-foot, lesbian, ex-Mormon, diabetic comedian of Dutch heritage, Sue-Ann has a unique take on diversity issues.
• Religion – Sue-Ann was born and raised a Mormon but was forced to leave the church when she discovered she was a lesbian. She has been fascinated by all aspects of religion ever since.
• Domestic Violence/Sexual Abuse/Welfare - Sue-Ann has always been open about the fact that she is an incest survivor. She is able to speak with both pathos and humour about these difficult subjects.
• Migration/Refugees – Sue-Ann is the child of Post War Dutch migrants.
• Human Rights – Sue-Ann was one of the Patrons of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission’s Outlink Project for Rural Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Youths. The other patrons were Ian Roberts and Julie McCrossin.
• Health – As a diabetic Sue-Ann is well versed in the importance of looking after her body.
• Disability/Carer Issues – Sue-Ann has been the primary carer for her disabled partner for the last ten years.
• Future Technology – Sue-Ann is a keen scholar of scientific and technological advances, particularly interested in the effects these changes will have on society.
• Sport – Sue-Ann is a fanatical sports enthusiast and has opinions on every sport from AFL to lawn bowls.
• Education – Sue-Ann has spoken to groups of teachers and students about the importance of education. Specific topics have included the importance of library access, celebrating democracy, educating girls, sex education and celebrating diversity in schools.
